Orgapack’s Leading Battery Powered Tools
OR-T 250 vs. OR-T 400
The Orgapack OR-T 250 and OR-T 400 are two highly popular plastic strapping tools designed for highly versatile poly strapping needs. The OR-T 400 is the more powerful version, designed to be used with 5/8 inch to 3/4 inch poly strapping while the OR-T 250 can strap 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch poly straps. The smaller version runs on a 14.4V lithium ion battery while the larger version runs on an 18V lithium ion battery.
Performance Comparison
As already mentioned, the OR-T 400 and OR-T 250 are designed for use with 5/8-3/4” and 1/2-5/8” poly strapping, respectively. While the larger version is capable of generating up to 350 cycles per charge, the OR-T 250 can complete up to 400 cycles in a single battery charge.
When it comes to peak tensioning force, the OR-T 400 is capable of generating up to 4,000 N while the OR-T 250 can generate a peak tension of 2,500 N. The larger model has a tensioning speed of 6.8 inch per second and the smaller one has a speed of 8.6 inch per second.
The OR-T 400 is slightly heavier than the 250, as it weighs 9.3 lbs compared to the latter’s 8.5 lbs weight. This gives a slight lightweight advantage and ease of handling edge to the 250. Both the tools provide fully-adjustable tensioning force and their lightweight design makes them perfect for both stationary and mobile applications.
The OR-T 250 is suited for applications where smaller strapping is required. It can deliver higher level of efficiency. Both the tools have solid construction, which allows them to be used in environments with high level of wear and tear.
Similarities
Both the OR-T 400 and OR-T 250 have adjustable operation modes:
- Semi automatic
- Fully automatic
- Soft
- Manual
Both feature the latest, state of the art, brushless motor technology and environment-friendly battery tech. This means high level of efficiency, any time recharging, no memory effect and higher number of strapping in a given time.
Both the tools can be used with Polyester (PET) and Polypropylene (PP) strapping for heavy applications. They take same amount of time for charging battery – 15 to 30 minutes. Their lightweight configuration, speed, and robust and reliable brushless technology combine together to make the OR-T 400 and OR-T 250 very high efficiency tools for plastic strapping. They can be used for a wide range of applications in different types of industries.
